wow who would have thought that as soon as it came out it'd be a huge disappointment. honestly, did anyone expect it to come out hugely successful? that never happens.

the reason the price is a big deal is the ceo of the company said just a couple months ago that the price would be in the ballpark of 350, now he's backtracking and saying oh i was thinking of something else when i said that so i wasn't actually lying

i want to get one because the technology behind it is seriously awesome i mean billy-goat people, it's virtual reality, and it's actually the real deal. how billy-goating cool is that? i've gotten to test DK1 and 2 and each time i was blown away by how completely immersive it is. it has finally reached a level where the reality lives up to expectations. this shit is gonna be big and imagine the god damn potential, too. this has the possibility of becoming convincing enough that your sense will have trouble distinguishing it from the real world, how billy-goating cool and scary isnt that. Imagine they keep you awake during surgery in another world or some shit or you get kidnapped and you dont know because you're actually not in the real world bcuz they hooked you up while you were asleep this is a first taste of the future. it's like those old timey people who watched film for the first time and thought they were being ran over we get to experience the birth of something significant, and thats exciting
i will 100% purchase a future model once they become affordable and are more conveniently acquired
