none of those are rumors, they did patent the technology to do that, theyve outright said that it will be both always online and have no backwards compatibility so try again cunt

they didn't say actually always online and it isn't always online
owning the rights to a patent doesnt mean implementation of a patent
you should throw away every webcam because it has the ability to spy on you
you should throw away your cell phone because it has the ability to spy on you and also you might choke on it you're so dumb

oh and by the way "Microsoft did say that if a disc was used with a second account, that owner would be given the option to pay a fee and install the game from the disc, which would then mean that the new account would also own the game and could play it without the disc."

you realize there is a distinction between something being "technically true" and true right?
Like how saying "YOU NEED TO USE THE KINECT WITH THE NEW XBOX ALL THE TIMES" is technically true, but the only thing you need to use it for is being plugged in and you can disable everything else.

dude, no.
"Microsoft did say that if a disc was used with a second account, that owner would be given the option to pay a fee and install the game from the disc, which would then mean that the new account would also own the game and could play it without the disc.
"The bits that are on that disc, you can give it to your friend and they can install it on an Xbox One," [Phil Harrison] said. "They would then have to purchase the right to play that game through Xbox Live."
"They would be paying the same price we paid, or less?" we asked.
"Let’s assume it’s a new game, so the answer is yes, it will be the same price," Harrison said."

yes and microsoft has already come out and said that what Phil harrison said wasn't in line with what they plan for used games.
Microsoft said that that one representative was misrepresenting it.

i doubt its going to be full price but i absolutely would not put it past them to make you pay a fee at all, they havent said that you WONT have to, all theyve officially said is theyre working on a way for used games to work. and paying a fee is a way for used games to work.

E3 is just a couple weeks away and we'll certainly get some answers through the press by then i believe it when they say that they don't have the decision nailed down yet, and after seeing this huge backlash from the consumers, I think that will have a big influence in determining how they decide to deal with used games. I don't know for sure whether they will or will not put a fee on used games and I don't know for sure that anyone else knows for certain either just yet.

can you two stop just air quoting and cite both of your sources
If you cite the source of the person SAYING it I will believe you, if not you're both just arguing for no reason
