microsoft is probably just backpedaling because they got a bad reaction yeah and thats why i believe them when they said it's not set in stone yet and they're still deciding how they'll deal with it. i think they wanted to see how rough the reaction would be before they made a final decision and i think this reaction will actually affect how they decide to deal with used games

also call of duty is not and has never been a technical marvel, but it does look a lot better on next gen than it did on the current gen consoles.
CoD aims for 60fps constant and for the crowd who only plays cod games, they don't care how great crysis looked.
the new cod doesn't look visually impressive compared to what else is available, but for those who care about cod, it was a big positive for them.

personally, i think the most interesting positive thing about the system is the whole aurora cloud computing thing.
the idea that graphics and multiplayer computing will be done off site through their servers has really awesome implications like finally being able to have good looking, large scale 64 player online multiplayer and things like that.
i could imagine Battlefield 3 PC numbers of online players per match with the destructibility and dynamic-ness of the Bad Company games being possible if they're offloading computing to cloud servers
