I honestly think the HP series aged well. They're well written (sure the first one got a bit rushed at the end ) and engaging. I reread them a few months ago and I honestly don't think of them as children's books. And I didn't grow up with them either. I didn't read them until the last book came out. But I did like how with each book the characters were older (it was always near Harry's birthday when he went back to Hogwarts). Thinking about the events that come still makes me writhe in emotion
i'm a third done goblet of fire. it definitely got MUCH more interesting during prisoner of azkaban. and now that they're bringing in the death eaters, i'm feeling satisfied with the direction of the series. glad i stuck it through
