one of my favourite portuguese singers of today, JP Simões, has some recent work in singing bossa nova-ish songs with his deep portuguese accent and it's so weird it's awesome
of course with a voice like his he can sing my pants off just llike that

cool, I was sure there would be some language barrier, since it's across the pond. I can barely understand people from different regions of armenia, since each dialect is very different one of my favourite portuguese singers of today, JP Simões, has some recent work in singing bossa nova-ish songs with her deep portuguese accent and it's so weird it's awesome of course with a voice like her she can sing my pants off just llike that that is fantastic, i love bossa nova guitat, only know a few chords myself to play garota de ipanema and manha de carnaval i still remember the lyrics in portuguese, but my pronunciation is probably shit

he doesn't even have to strain his voice, it's just so damn smooth, like Joao Gilberto

truly you can appreciate bossa nova without reading into the lyrics yeah but considering the political context of bossa nova i strongly advise you read a bit into sone lyric translations, mainly the work of people like chico buarque and vinicius de moraes

iceage are killin it right now. dat trumpet at the end. their new album has sort of a... country vibe to it. which is really different from their last album "you're nothing" which was way more post-punk than anything. here's my fav song from that album

was advised to listen to this band, not really sure how I feel about it
i'm definitely enjoying most of their tracks, they have a good sound, but at the same time I feel like they sound like any other "indie" rock band out there. i'd say even a stereotype of them
the lyrics are okay, have some depth in them and doo doo
all in all - okay
