I happened upon the show after finally giving in and watch a couple of episodes on BBC. I throughly enjoyed them and have been marathoning the entire series.
My current favorite episode has to be episode 12 of season 1, The Big Goodbye. I enjoyed the interactions of the crew of the enterprise with the ai of the holodeck. It reminded me of all the time I tried communicating with the people in my dreams while I was lucid.
What are your favorite episodes? Do you hate the show? Do you think I am a stupid billy-goating nerd who should shut his billy-goating face? Comments and spoilers welcome!

Season 1 is the worst season in the series (so I guess you have something to look forward to)
My favourite episodes are anything focused on Data. I suppose my #1 is the one where Data's human rights is discussed in court

My 'favourite' for sheer ridiculousness is the one where Picard investigates a conspiracy in the federation (vague descripion to prevent spoilers)

The Inner Light sticks out for me, season 5, picards living the life of a farmer or some such with a family, suffering from delusions of being a starship captain
typical scifi plot but still a great episode

I suppose my #1 is the one where Data's human rights is discussed in court "measure of a man", which is in season 2 thats a good one. "best of both worlds" is also obviously good, some other random eps i like are "clues", "who watches the watchers", any Q episode

Just finished the first season. My opinion is that it started off incredibly slow, but near the end of it the show got incredibly interesting. I can only expect it to become greater here on out.
