on the recommendation of uhhh dman i think ive been using microsoft security essentials and sometimes i'll run a scan with malwarebytes but its been a number of years so does anyone know if these are still good options?
i like stuff that is simple, effective and preferably light on memory

I just use avast as my antivirus, Comodo as my firewall and malwarebytes.
I don't seemingly have any issues.

Same here. Maybe once a week if I can remember to do so. I don't download much hentai so I don't have much of a need

at work we have been installing just malwarebytes and just running it if anything gets suspicious. the best defense is to be smart about what youre doing. recently we have also been using symantec as a passive scan thing but i think windows defender is also aight

I think Windows Defender or MSE has replaced the other one now
i dont think it runs much anymore and i only scan every few months and nothing turns up

yeah tbh malwarebytes works good for me for malware removal, i was more concerned that mse wasnt effective in being the casual, nonintrusive background scanner. im going to stick with it cuz i didnt like the panda one and honestly mse serves me perfectly well, i take good care of my computer so i dont have much to worry about

I just use Windows Defender and Malwarebytes, I never notice Windows Defender doing anything though
