so, in the interest of my laziness and of restructuring im putting the second and third episodes aside. this will be the second until i can think of what to do with the real second (prob throw it away because all we do is talk about matthew broderick) and the third (i talk a lot about stuff i think is interesting and if i keep that then i will have to split it up or something idk). this is so 1) you can hear someone funny speak 2) we can get back on track. there is one recording that exists after this, and after that it will be new. featuring: ben (me) grue (daniel) die hard (tbone) and SPECIAL GUEST k-manwe talk about: -portuguese stereotypes -favorite ernest hemingway facts -420 =3= -k-man's life in key west -linkin park facts -tbone talks to his dog -ben's social life -impressions of the folk k-man meets -k-man's music career -two americans try to explain to a portuguese man who jimmy buffett is for those willing to offer criticism: this was recorded before i made the last thread so obviously we didnt address any specific concerns raised there. that being said, at this point we had a few things under our belt and so it still goes a lot better. also k-man is a hoot disclaimer: the end comes abruptly because k-man cuts out of the entire call mid sentence as his computer has a problem and that is really funny to me next ep: another guest. im excited to talk about that one. coming... sometime. possibly soon (ha) here is the link: soundcloud.com/spameisforlovers/ernest-hemingway-facts-the-spame-forum-experience

I'll check it out when I get Internet again(for my desktop) or at least fix the goddamm WiFi. It's the most spotty piece of shit and when it connects it just doesn't work.
And how come kman gets an invite but I don't. I promise I won't fart into the mic.

-depending on how serious you are, you need better mics. I'm sure someone said that in the first thread.
-not 100% sure how you guys pick topics but you could make the segues a little smoother. you should try talking about actual subjects and stuff. movies you saw/want to see, etc. I'd rather listen to you guys have a casual conversation and hear about your opinions on things than trying to force comical ernest hemingway/linkin park anecdotes.
-you all still seem a little weird and uncomfortable with each other. you're overly polite, like strangers or something. k-man was actually the most laid back, despite being stoned and a guest. I think that's mostly due to the fact that you guys aren't talking about anything you actually care/know about though.
also currently loling at you guys grilling the shit out of grue about linkin park. poor fu cking guy.
favorite quote from the podcast: "Did you just ask me what I think about pumpkins?"

I promise I won't fart into the mic. no invite, I totally weaseled my way into this by asking ben and puggs, you make some good points, especially the need to already have topics to segue into. That was the roughest part about doing this, all the "now what?" moments

yeah there was lots of those, and if you guys felt a little awkward, the listeners will too. I'm sure all that will get smoothed out over time if you guys keep doing it.

it's weird you think no one cares about your guys' (your...guys? you guys'? your guys's?) opinions. when I listen to podcasts or stand-up or even when reading literature I like to hear their opinions whether I agree with them or not. especially since your podcast is more than one person, it could make the conversation a lot more fluid as you all pitch in and say what you like/dislike about whatever it is you're talking about. it isn't a newscast, it's a casual podcast with three or four people.
guess that might just be me but if you're always trying to shy away from giving opinions and sticking to a vague but rigid and somewhat random list of silly topics, the conversation is gonna be rigid as well. my several cents. I'm outtie. peace songbirdz.

also grue is fairly opinionated so maybe he'd butt into the conversation more and stop caring about his accent which by the way isn't hard to understand at all so stop being insecure about it
