Watched the first movie and it was a rather decent film, plus I like Brian DePalma films. But watching the second one it's a far cry from the first. I like John Woo but i feel his techniques don't work well with this kind of movie.
Any of you ever watch the series? If so what do you think? I wish the other three were on Netflix.

I loved the second one. It's over the top I guess but I loved it. The third is my favorite because I'm a phillip seymour hoffman fanboy and he's an evil mother billy-goater.

Almost done with it and it's actually not bad so far(this billy-goated up wifi is causing a buffer which is why I'm responding ). Seemed weird at the beginning with some of the slow motion. I do not like however, the fact Thandie Newton's character was delegated to eye candy/damsel when at the beginning she seemed kind of cool being a master thief. Also I thought the gun fight took away from it a little bit.
I did make a mistake, I accidentally mistook John Woo for Ang Lee, because Lee makes more art like films, while Woo is action, so I thought it was weird Lee would be making an action film.

I wish 3 and 4 were on Netflix or hulu. I could rent them via Amazon or Google but don't have the cash.

Number 2 ended up pretty good after all. The scene with the doves made me giggle but that's a John Woo thing.
Watched expendables 3, it a decent popcorn flick. Now I'm watching enemy at the gates

I never got to watch them when they were released. What's wrong with watching older movies?
