I guarantee ben made a deal with rob and dave where in order to stay admin he has to send shameful naked pictures of himself every month and he doesn't like doing it and it makes him feel bad but he does it anyway because he wants to be admin so badly but rob and dave haven't even bothered to check if he's still sending nudes so there's a backlog of ben's nude emails going back like 13 months that they haven't even opened and never will

i hear it is good

i picked it up because i saw something about it when it was in greenlight and i only recently remembered about it

it's REALLY GOOD.


the style is kind of like earthbound, even so much as using dark humor and whimsy with a sense of dread. the music is absolutely fantastic, very catchy and atmospheric. the world is nostalgic of old games, but is designed excellently. there are puzzles constantly, and while they're not hard it still makes you think for a moment. the battle system works kind of like a hodge-podge of gametypes. attacking uses a "time your attack so it hits the center to do more damage," while enemy attacks work like a clever bullet-dodging game. Each enemy has a different attack that you'll have to dodge.

the biggest part that's so unique is your ability to NOT fight. you can do actions that may make the monster respond in a way that will allow you to "mercy" them and they go away, which nets you no XP but extra gold. why would you do this? it actually changes a lot of dialogue. the game accounts for multiple ways of playing, so much so that there's a character that knows if you killed a boss, then reset and mercy'd them, and calls you out on it.

it's 10 bucks and i hear it goes for about 7 hours, but the replayability is excellent, like a no-kill run, but i'm not doing that on my first go thru.

try different ways of fighting monsters than just beating them up

definitely do a no kill run and the secret lab before the end of the game and get the super ultimate good ending, it's so good I didn't even do a genocide run because I felt bad killing ppl after getting the tru ending
