I'd try Borderlands if it had local co-op on PC
Freedom Planet is going to come to Wii U tomorrow, and Armikrog is also going to be finished!!
But Armikrog for the Wii U will come later, I dunno whether to get Armikrog on PC now or hold out for Wii U

played the beginners guide by the guy who made the stanley parable (Davey Wreden). very interesting, personal work, would recommend. try to stay away from reviews or summaries though, much of the story's impact lies in the way it unfolds
he did a talk for a finnish uni a few months back which really sheds some light on his motivations for creating the game (http://livestream.com/accounts/6845410/gamesnow/videos/83818176). it's about 45 minutes but if you connected with the game then it's well worth a watch.

I just started playing The Witcher 3. I haven't played past the tutorial so I have no opinion on it yet but all I've heard is good things. It's really just something to fill the void before fallout 4 comes out in November.
Any of y'all played through it?

I played shadows of mordor this week and enjoyed it so much i bought the DLC
Fun game. It plays like ass creed and the arkham games but what makes the game is the organic orc heirarchy. You can kill off or support the randomly generated captains to influence the ranks.
It could have had more side missions and stuff as the campaign was a bit limited. billy-goating around with the orc captains is fun on its own though.
The combat is done well and is satisfying and addictive. The upgrades are really useful and powerful but it remains balanced because you can just fight more orcs and do braver shit.

I also played Secret of Monkey Island which was sitting in my steam library
Great humour. But point and click puzzle games are billy-goating annoying. Maybe this one especially so because of the nonsensical or joke solutions that you can't possibly figure out logically

shadows of mordor was great fun for at most 20 hours, then there's literally nothing left to do than run around and free roam. those 20 hours were the shit though
idk if i agree with the upgrades being balanced, near the end i felt like a demi-god jumping in on enemies from a mile away and dispensing with all of them in seconds (which is awesome in its own right) it's cool to run into a stronghold and just fight endless waves of enemies, even if the combat begins to resemble a rhythm game
really well made game imo

Yeah that's fair. Anything less than a stronghold becomes piss easy to kill. I havnt even used the uber spells that give you 20 seconds of unlimited whatever because there's no need. Still the combat is tight as shit and you can tear things up.

I just beat Phantom Pain. While I understand a lot of the gripes people have, lore-wise I actually liked the way it ended. Took me 80 hours to finish, and was easily one of the best games I've played.
