is it ethically justifiable to pay somebody to have sex with you? sure, in a vacuum. in this world? not likely in a capitalist society no its not, its unethical because women are often forced into sex work through economic conditions and its billy-goating degrading and dangerous and its just a terrible thing to have to do. but everyone is forced into exploitation thru economic conditions and it sucks for everyone but yeah no its not justifiable at all

is it ethically justifiable to pay somebody to have sex with you? sure, in a vacuum. in this world? not likely of course, in this world. specially in this world, where sex is one of the most lucrative commodities you may have your personal ethics keeping you from engaging in paid sex but the idea of a sex industry is perfectly coherent with the contemporary market

or is there something about sticking your dick in it that makes it not ok
from cars to clothing to porn, everything has a sex element to it. you can draw your lines but ultimately unless society changes in a radical way, sex work will be there as a natural extension of, well, work

the absurdist stretch would be to ask about the difference between using your body to entertain others in sex industry, in massage parlors or in comedy
because in comedy you are displaying your skills for the sole purpose of pleasing an audience
now of course "there's a difference" but the difference lies in your personal morals, the sanctified nature of intimacy to its varying degrees (is getting a massage by a stranger also a violation of privacy? can a man grope your wife through hell and back just as long as his cock stays put?) and of course the use of sex as an identifier
which all in all is fine, again, different strokes make for an interesting world. but in the perspective of a market transaction, the technical para-human perspective, there's no difference between the different representations of "pleasing others with your body", the work relation and value production is technically the same, and imo that's all that matters for it to exist regardless of the scope of law
and again because of the whole different strokes thing, im all for people finding their happy place in this godforsaken world, and if that happy place is beer coke and hookers then by golly you dive in head first skipper, life is too short and the world is too shitty for you to depriv yourself of your wants

i think you are wilfully ignorant of the conditions of the industry and disregarding the fact that it is sex-specific. meaning it is an abuse of male power.
