Barney the Human-Chicken hybrid #1

no the elf didn't kill his parents. If you listen to the dialogue carefully, you realize that the elf in both doll form and human form, are actually in his mind. Detailing the internal struggle within himself about what he should do as far as trying to move on and whatnot.

In the scene where Barney is holding the doll before the ceremony, barney says, "my god you're right!" Elfie responds with, "Of course you are."

That is pretty much the telltale sign. Unfortunately the music was mixed a little too loud so it's kind of hard to hear them talk at that part. I may remix the music and dialogue later on. The fight scene (which I wanted to be longer originally), the ceremony, I guess all the scenes with the elf could be removed and if it were just Barney talking to himself and if conveyed correctly it would work the same. I just wanted to do something funny or weird mixed with some deep stuff dealing with a form of loss, moving on, etc.

He cared about Elfie because in a way that was part of himself he was killing.
