I HAVE A REAL QUESTION FOR THE JEW!! i watched a movie called leaves of grass last night and they go to a synagogue or whatever at one point and they wear towel sort of things around their shoulders. what are these towel things and why do even the non-jewish people wear them when in a temple? its called it a Talit, or prayer shawl. as for non jews doing it, i cant explain. you'd have to ask them. truthfully, i see christians buy lots of jewish things out here because they think they're jews in some lens. sometimes theyre messianic jews, sometimes theyre evangelical. they know their religion comes from us and i think they are slowly making shifts back to our traditions.

i have a jew question too. what makes a rabbi different from other jews. do they get a special consecration or why are they allowed to marry people and others arent? rabbinic ordination is called "smicha". Originally, smicha was passed from moses to joshua (when he covers his head and tells him he'll be in charge of the jewish people) and from joshua to others, etc. to be worthy of smicha you had to know what today is the oral law of judaism, inside and out, all the laws, etc. the roman eventually broke the true smicha with their mass killings and our exile. today, someone who becomes a rabbi gets smicha, but it's not the same as the rabbi's from ancient times. nowadays, they have to study certain areas of jewish law, get proficiency in it, and pass an oral test in front of their rabbi's. most people get it in the laws of kosher or the sabbath, but there are many areas to get smicha in. And truthfully, anyone can get married without a rabbi. you need to have a wedding contract, signed by the husband (it explains his duties to his wife and what he owes her in case of a divorce), signed by two witnesses, and then 7 blessings are made under a "chuppah" or wedding canopy. that's the BARE minimum to be married in jewish law terms.

does judaism mention anything about weed in any writings at all? i imagine there are some older people in your group or whatever you'd call it who, probably just because of a culture thing, maybe not judaism, that see it as pretty silly to smoke weed

guys this is pointless niki can not conceive others have opinions, beliefs or tastes that are different from hers and therefore she relies on abusive insulting and the I-know-it-all attitude.
She's not even capable of having an even slightly respectful debate
